Test method description
The test should be carried out at an ambient temperature of 20ºC±5ºC. Place the battery connected with the thermocouple (the contacts of the thermocouple are fixed on the large surface of the battery) in a fume hood and cover it with a non-corrosive steel pipe with a diameter of 2-8mm. The needle pierces the center of the largest surface of the battery at a speed of 10mm/s-40mm/s and maintains it for any time.
